The Archaeological Museum of Olympia presents the centuries-old historical development of the sanctuary of Zeus Olympia, one of the most glorious in antiquity, the cradle of the Olympic Games.

It includes the permanent exhibition of findings from the excavations at the sacred site of Alteo, dating from prehistoric to early Christian years. Of all the priceless exhibits, the most important is the exhibition of sculptures, which the museum is mainly known for, as well as the collection of bronze objects, which is the richest in the world and consists of weapons, figurines and other objects, and in particular Significant are the findings of large pelvic plastic.
